Mr. Razib is incharge of maintaining sales records and bills
for Electronic retail store called Digital World. The Store
has offered a discount of six percent to a customer for a very
large order.Mr.Razib prepares the bill. However, the customer
is not willing to buy at the price offered and wants a further
rebate. Therefore, the discount is increased to eight percent.Mr.Razib
has to calculate the bill all over again. Would it not be simpler
if the discount rates are altered and the entire bill is automatically
recalculated?
An electronic spreadsheet is the answer. A spreadsheet is a
generic term for the software package that simulates a paper
worksheet often used by people in management. It has various
features to offer namely, fast calculations, what-if analysis,
chart (also called graphs), automatic recalculations, and many
more.
