Milnars
Tubewells Limited is the company dedicated to the development
and exploitation of groundwater. The company came into being
in 1966 during advent of Green Revolution through HYV cropping
when necessity of assured supply of water for irrigation during
the dry season where gradually being felt. During the next
successive decades MILNARS grew into one of the most developed
and sophisticated groundwater development company owing largest
fleet of rotary drill rigs, down-hole geophysical loggers,
high pressure hydro jetting development system and every necessary
supportive equipment to take on projects of any magnitude.
Milnars Tubewells within the span of last 34 years has successfully
drilled over 8,500 deep and large diameter water wells. All
these tubewells were constructed by reverse circulation rotary
drilling method. During the same time, the company installed
pumps and prime movers in about 11,500 wells and commissioned
them into permanent groundwater sources. Most of these water
wells were developed and tested each to produce over 3.00
cusecs of discharged water. Some of the prestigious project
the company has successfully organized, managed and executed
in the country are, 5000 Water Well Turnkey Project, IDA-ADC/3
3000 Water Well (Pumping Plant Supply & Commissioning)
Project, BADC - BOGRA 229 Water Well Project under Kuwait
Government funding, 206 DTW Project in Rajshahi under Barind
Development Authority, 94 Municipal Water Wells for Dhaka
WASA under GOB financing, SIRDP 275 DTW Project in Pabna under
Asian Development Bank financing etc. It is worthwhile to
note that GEC-MILNARS 5000 Irrigation Water Well Project was
United Kingdom financed turnkey work. It is perhaps the single
largest work-contract of its kind ever awarded and successfully
executed anywhere in the World.

More
recently, the company has successfully completed ADB financed
North-Bangladesh DTW Project under BWDB in which 960 large
diameter Water Wells were sunk in Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and
Panchagram districts.
One of its most prestigious contract assignment has been with
Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWASA) CRASH PROGRAM.
The contract, a TURNKEY Project, involved design and construction
of 50 million gallon per day water supply wells, laying of
104 km water transmission lines (CDI & PVC), construction
of overhead reservoirs, etc including procurement and supply
of all local and importable materials for the project. The
job also entailed designing and detailing of water line network,
demand analysis and integrating the newly constructed system
to the existing network systems. A similar contract involving
20DTW and construction of 60 Km water transmission pipeline,
Booster Stations, etc for Dhaka WASA has also been completed
in time.
This leading company in the water resources development is
renowned not only in Bangladesh but also made its land mark
in the world of groundwater resource engineering and geo-techniques.
For the last 35 years, Milnars Tubewells is serving this specialized
section of construction engineering. The list of projects
completed and an equally impressive list of jobs in hand will
eloquently speak about the unique extent of the companys
total involvement in the field of drilling of water wells.
This has given the company opportunity to develop ever new
techniques in this hazardous and tough field of geo-engineering.
With its own large fleet of drilling rigs, equipment, vehicles,
specialized high pressure pumps, geophysical loggers and necessary
logistical support, Milnars Tubewells can deliver any project
in time and in best satisfactions
