DAIRY was developed to give access to the vast resources of diary products
of Bajitpur-Kuliarchar-Katiadi areas which hitherto were nonexistent. Aftab
Dairy opened up these areas to markets of Dhaka City. It has established
a modern automatic milk processing plant imported from Denmark with a capacity
to process and pack 1000 liters of pasteurized milk per hour.
The Farm is now processing
about 5,000 liters of milk a day which is expected to go up to 30,000
liters within a very short period. For speedy and all out development
in the production of raw milk, ABFL is also arranging to provide 3000
cows of superior crossbreed for distribution among the interested local
population. It has plan to introduce other dairy products gradually.
